Canada based architect firm Campos Leckie Studio has completed to renovate 2000 sf loft located at 550 Beatty St Vancouver Canada. It is originally a warehouse from 1907 that was retrofitted in 1981. In this new third iteration of the life of the building, the programmatic demands of a young family have been accommodated within the spatial constraints of a typical urban loft typology.

This loft interior run on the idea to transform this old building into more contemporary, cozy and warm modern living way. The primary challenge in this project was the creation of three discrete bedrooms in an existing floor plan which only has access to natural light and ventilation at the end of it’s longitudinal axis. But the designer finally was successful create inviting living area in modern and rustic finishing. Love this!

A convertible architectural strategy was employed with a series of sliding partitions that divide the open space of the lower floor into three distinct rooms at night. There is key element in the interior design that particularly stand out. The impressive staircase design that designed in classic touch with dark finishing. Wooden element is applied to almost the room to create warm ambience. Visit the master mind behind this awesome project here
