This cool chair design reminds me of my hamster’s nest that recently gave birth to 4 little hamsters. The Nest is round and snafu in form, that’s just exactly why we love it. This Nest Chair is designed by the Copenhagen based designer Nina Bruun. Nina could say that it was inspired by nature of the bird’s nest form, but for me it’s just like the hamster that build its nest to warm the babies.

Anyway the snafu seating design feel like it’s in one piece with a soft chocolate brown cushions placed on top of it. I know that you love the birch strips which created in different thickness to mimic the true form of a nest. You can sit down at the center of this unique seating design. It’s more of an artistic seating, a sculpture, where it can only be placed in modern interior and contemporary interior design or maybe placed in public spaces. This snafu seating design certainly can be a focal point when you’re placing it in your house.

What we love from the Bridge House designed by Joeb Moore which is located in Kent, Connecticut, USA, is the nicely material that made up the house. The wooden house ideas which is made not too far from Kent Falls State Park has a very beautiful scenery such as the historic bridge and the gorgeous waterfalls. It seems to Joeb that the vista was a bonus that should be able to be juiced maximally. The wooden house design volume appears to stand on its topography thanks to the natural landscape offered by the site. The interiors of the house was done with minimalism approach but still can catch the warmth thanks to the wooden material. I’m not a fan of block volumes kind of house but this modern wooden house seems to find its way in my eyes.

This Queensland Gallery of Modern Art building is designed by Architectus which has specialist expertise in education, public buildings, commercial, industrial, residential, aviation and transport, sustainable design, retail and hotels. This gallery of modern art building features 25.635 square meter area in a lightweight structure concept, open riverside pavilion containing two major levels of exhibition space, two cinemas, education facilities, a restaurant and boardwalk café. It was completed in 2006 and organized into flexible, adaptive spaces which can house changing programs and exhibitions.

The urban design concept for the Gallery acknowledges the city grid and axis of Tank Street to the historic windmill, whilst maintaining the river connection for the west end district. The new Gallery is the largest cultural project to be undertaken in Queensland’s recent history. The resulting building stands as a landmark against Brisbane’s skyline. The new building more than doubles the Queensland Art Gallery’s size, and enhances Brisbane as a world city.

Environmentally, the generous roof solves around 90% of the issues facing the Gallery by shading the walls at critical times of the day. The Gallery will focus on modern and contemporary Australian and international art, indigenous Australian art, and the art of the Asia-Pacific region.

I almost misjudge this wood bench by a low wooden table. The Nautural Series Wood Bench was designed by Dario Antonioni. This minimalist seat really has the power of adding functionality in a subtle manner. The minimalist approach is just so good that you can place this bench just about anywhere around your house. Here is a short description from the designer: The Natural series is exactly what it claims to be. Composed of a o solid wood core with a trace of aluminum, these benches are Mother Nature’s way of combining organic material with modern design. Simple and beautiful are two words which are best to describe this chair. It adds elegance to any kind of room. The curve and simple form of this wood makes it an elegant minimalism. No one would have ever thought that such simple bench design like this can turn into something elegant.
