Gianni Botsford Architects, the London based architecture, designed this really cozy retreat house. The name is Casa Kike and it’s built in Costa Rica for his beloved father. The wooden retreat house is intentionally built as a writer’s retreat and in some part of the house it’s purposely built with big huge book racks which is attached to the wall to accommodate the father’s vast collection of books.

The innovative structure at this retreat villa made of two pavilions consisting of a main studio with library, grand piano, writing desk and a second sleeping pavilion which are all connected under by a walkway. Wood is the material chosen at this house to give a more welcoming feeling and serene atmosphere. The villa project done by Gianni Botsford Architects has won the RIBA International Award in 2008. It’s been three years already the building stood still and it’s still has the timeless and cozy feeling that will never fade away.
