rd winning Panama House by Marcio Kogan, an architect graduated from Mackenzie University in 1976. Panama House unlike the name isn’t located in Panama, but it’s located in a country with a long history of well known football tradition where Pele has become a legendary icon in their football history. The house makes a powerful but subdued statement in its open elegance which becomes some sort of hallmark for Kogan’s work. Although it doesn’t look like a typical ordinary house design, Kogan able to create such a feeling of comfort and livability towards each of his home design like this Panama House which consist of three storey house.

The structure of this house is essentially a wooden box inside a C-shaped concrete made of cement slabs and a wall. In Panama house you will find a great spacious courtyard where it’s smartly designed underneath of the wings to create an automatic living spaces which combines natural atmosphere living and human synthetic space living. Most of Kogan’s works are so humble but yet remains luxurious and minimalist touches. I plan to find more of his works.
