bar by architects Daniel Jose Maria Sáez and Moreno, which as a special feature includes a tree that crosses the project. Here we’ve seen how the intervention continues going through the restaurant and displayed as a showcase to see and be seen. How do the architects build this lounge? Well, a metal box frames the activity and is crossed by the existing tree, which became an iconic presence while they’re busy building the lounge.

Existing situation escalates, as the tree, or recycled, almost in its entirety. The walls of the old building are cut with grinder and move to form new walls. The wooden roof is raised and extended, strengthened external tensor. The structure on the roof allows the large interior spaces with a single continuous visible support. The strong personality of La Boca del Lobo is present in the expansion. Like a collage, three strips of different materials (metal recycling red tool, tile religious iconography, bar the rough wooden planks) accommodate a baroque setting and objects designed by the clients themselves.
