Its all about have completed the interiors for a Japanese shop in Amsterdam with strips of bamboo hanging from the ceiling. I really love the idea about using surprisingly material to separated item space. Pass the entrance you will see that the wall on the right is covered in horizontal strips of white textiles (which hide a clever shelving system and create an undulating horizontal relief on the wall). On the opposite wall, the shelves are surrounded by long and irregular loops of white mesh, hanging from the ceiling. So nice, beautiful and lower budget than using usual shelves. Easy to clean is for sure.
Japanse Winkeltje is a gallery space, shop and Japanese culture centre on three separate floors. They sell a variety of Japanese products like ceramic, kimono and lamp. By adopting the traditional Japanese house design, the interior walls and ceilings on all floors are covered in natural materials. In spite of using table to store the stuff, they use rustic log but look so chic in harmony. For those who have small site to build the shop, this great ideas will really a big help.
