is private residence cantilevered over a sloping driveway in Bussum, the Netherlands has a great subtle environment and it’s made by Group A Architect. The Villa is located in a lush, leafy suburb in Bussum, a town near Amsterdam. Villa Bussum features a 15 metre-wide window overlooking the rear garden and a distorted, pitched roof.
The design for the village is modern and sculptural, and interacts in a natural way with its environment. By using slate on the roof and walls, the abstract volume of the building feels pleasantly embedded on the landscape. A subtracted corner facing the street in front of the house, clearly defines the main entrance. On the east side of town, you can find a garden and a second access. You will also find a fold-up display as a transition between the villa and garden in the back of the house. Both front and rear gardens of the house are connected by a sloping path.
