by Aarmer Architects that has very eye catching front roof for the first sight named Merlimau House. This front roof slants from the attic to the car porch, giving the house the presence it needs from the narrow entrance and street. Why Aarmer Architects do this ? The main constrain that be challenges for this house is the tight triangular site. The entrance and façade from the street was very narrow, giving the house little presence.

So, they create layout, orientation, form and massing of the house attempt to negate these site constraints. This formulates the overall design direction. The L-configuration of the plans lends itself to the best possible engagement to site conditions, climate and vistas. The house opens up at the eastern façade, fronted by a central garden and landscape pond. Lets peek at interior that has been designed to maximized catch the garden out there. What a natural beautiful bathroom design. By using glass wall, this is the best strategy to enrich luxury and natural green from garden. Enough ? Not yet, lets go the upstair to finding the beautiful pool that build in the roof where the best views are. This not only frees up the ground floor but also provides passive cooling and insulation for the spaces below. Hard to explain more. Inspiring for sure.
